The relatively mild and dry Spring has got nesting off to a flying start with early broods being fed by attentive parents.
This cock Blackbird has an impressive beak full of insects for its young.
I have reflected many times over recent months that fly life on the wing has been in evidence on a daily basis so hopefully our birds will have a good year with multiple broods providing the weather stays benign.
I concur the amount if insects I've seen flying around with the odd butterfly too. The moths in my shed are starting to move around too, let's hope it continues
